Arrived at Anthropologie..

I have admired the efforts that Anthropologie has made recently to incorporate more American artists into their constantly changing array of offerings.  And when they commissioned me to do several different tableware pieces for select stores, I was quite excited to take this on. Though it was somewhat out of sync with how I normally work- in that they selected seven different designs: 4 for plates, 2 for bowls and 1 for the platters and wanted multiples of the same design.
So I set out this winter to create nearly 600 pieces- I was a one woman plate making machine!!  Each piece was made completely by hand so though the designs are repeated, no 2 are truly alike.

I shipped out the last batch this week and have heard reports of sightings already in Anthropologie shops here in California.
The pieces will ship to the following Anthro locations:
California: Corte Madera, Berkeley, San Francisco, Newport Beach
Portland Oregon, Austin Texas, Atlanta Georgia, Manhattan: Upper East Side and Chelsea Market
Vancouver Canada, London UK
At the end of this month, they will be available in the catalog and online at www.anthropologie.com as well.
So go check them out!

some recent table settings....

I had a lot of fun creating this set of tableware for a great couple in Seattle-I love the colors they chose and the way they all played off each other in such a warm understated way.
They tell me that "each plate is very special to us" and how they make each meal a celebration. I love that.
Inject the special into everyday- no special occasion, just daily life.

the grays, blacks, pale yellow and italian white with a splash of red kicked in...

so many options...
