So pleased and thrilled to be one of the artists selected to be a part of the Winter Edition of Where Women Create; just a luscious print magazine. They specialize in beautiful photography (thank you Sunday Hendrickson) that honor the sacred spaces that women inhabit in their creative endeavors.
Going back to "A Room of Ones Own" the classic essay by Virginia Wolf, women have considered what it means to have their very own space- not populated by family, social obligations and many of the things that fill up time, space and energy. All people need this, but if you are an artist, and a woman, I think it is particularly important.
Having space to think, experiment, crowd, interpret has always been a part of my self even when I was a child. And as a perpetual collector, I always needed space to store all of my treasures..still do.
